
Nutrient Data at Your Fingertips! The Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL) has the responsibility to develop USDA's National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, the foundation of most food and nutrition databases in the U.S., used in food policy, research and nutrition monitoring. Download software on a Windows PC One you've downloaded and installed the software, you can use this program to search the SR database without being connected to the Internet. (You'll have the entire database on your computer.) You'll have immediate access to a complete listing of the nutrients in any food.
